Frequently Asked Questions

We understand you may need to know more before you decide on where to move. Read below to learn the answers to some common questions we are asked by others, like you.

I have not exercise in a long time. Where do I start?

We recommend clicking "Let's Go" below and taking the short survey!

The survey will help us to see where you are currently and make an informed recommendation tailored to your needs. No two experiences are the same, and we make sure your experience suits you.

I am injured. Can I attend your classes?

To put it plainly, our classes are made to improve fitness, not rehab injuries.

The level of care and attention required to properly rehab an injury is not possible in well-run fitness-style classes, such as ours. To ensure you receive the care you need, we recommend speaking to your usual Physio.

How often should I be doing Pilates as a beginner?

For most beginners, we recommend starting with around three classes per week.

This gives your body enough stimulus to build strength and confidence, while still allowing time for muscles to rest and recover. Pilates is most effective when it’s consistent and sustainable; we’re not trying to rush change or push your body faster than it’s ready for.

Think of it as playing the long game: steady progress, lower injury risk, and habits you can maintain.

Is it normal to not know what to do before your first Pilates class?

That’s completely okay, and a very common feeling.

Before your first class, you’ll have access to welcome and intro videos to help you feel familiar with what to expect. We also offer a walkthrough 15 minutes before your first class, so you can get comfortable with the equipment and ask questions in a relaxed setting.

On top of that, our on-call support team is available to help with any questions you have before you arrive. You’re never expected to figure things out on your own; we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

I have a busy schedule. Will there be class times for me?

Absolutely! Each studio is open 7-days an run up to 70 classes each week. Classes often run:

Weekdays - 6am - 11am // 4pm - 9pm

Weekends - 7am-12pm

I have never tried Pilates. Can I do a class for free?

To truly grasp if Pilates is "for you", requires more than a single class.

We have found that a month of consistent classes gives you a clear understanding on whether this style of exercise if right for you.

To allow you the best chance of deciding if Pilates is right for you, we do not offer free trials.

Are your classes run by Pilates instructors?

Real people, every class!

Nothing beats the tailored guidance of a real person, who understands your goals and needs. Each class you attend will be carefully programmed and coached by a fully qualified Pilates instructor.

Is Pilates only for "really fit" people?

Our Pilates class levels mean that we can meet you where it suits you. You will never be forced to complete movements beyond your capabilities, simply because the rest of the room is "more advanced".

As a new member, you will be attending Level One classes, alongside many others at a similar stage in their fitness journey.

Structuring classes in this way allows us to make classes more relevant to your needs, avoiding the "I could never do that" moment.

Will Pilates make me stronger?

Pilates is a fantastic way to improve strength.

In fact, Pilates is one of the best ways to build strength in the long-term, without straining your body through compressive forces.

Our members often report building lasting strength in their core, glutes, back, shoulders and legs.

Why should I choose 4ME?

We aren't going to give you the hard sell. Our community is filled with amazing people who love movement and are inspired to attend every class.

We welcome all to attend, but ask those who do attend to come ready to commit to themselves and make a positive change in their life.

Ultimately, where and how you move is your choice. We would encourage you to choose somewhere where you sessions are tailored to your goals.

When choosing where to attend, some choose the cheapest place they could find, only to later realise that they had spent a lot of time, effort and (some) money to end up worse than before.

Our class levels are quite literally made for you. Our team is here, ready to learn about you, your goals and curate a plan that helps you get to where you want to go.

With that in mind, we would ask: What reason do you have to not choose 4ME?

How We Move - Class Levels 📈

At 4ME, you will never be forced to attend classes at a level you cannot achieve.

You're trusting us with your health; The least we can do is offer Pilates classes that meet you where you're at and progress up as your skills and confidence grow.

From Level 1-3, there are classes to suit you at any stage of your fitness journey.

Level One: What To Expect

Ditch flashy for functional; No viral instagram moves here. 🙅‍♀️

  • Movements that match your current fitness levels

Level One keeps movements simple (this doesn't mean they're easy).

This allows you to spend less time wondering "what am I meant to be doing" and more time building a strong foundation for long term movement.

  • Structured rest breaks

Exercise should be difficult, but achievable.

For this reason, there will be times where you need a break (totally normal!).

To save you from wondering when to break, we have made it easier with structured rest breaks throughout class.

  • Attending with those at a similar stage in their journey

Level one classes bring you together with others in similar places along their fitness journey.

You will never need to walk into class worried that you will be "odd one out".

  • Clear instructions; No jargon

We won't confuse you with industry terms that only Pilates instructors understand.

Our instructions use every day language, giving you complete confidence in knowing what you need to do.

Aidan here 👋

I am the founder (and Physio) behind 4ME! I have always been passionate about helping others improve their quality of life through movement. Pilates has always been an incredible form of exercise that many of my clients would use to improve their long-term fitness.

In 2021, I found that many people who attended the average Pilates studio walked away from their first class (understandably) confused, upset and feeling that Pilates was "too hard" for them.

I understood why they felt this way.

Online, Pilates seemed like strange machines, crazy moves, and was only attended by the extremely fit.

I knew Pilates to be so much more than that, and aimed to make Pilates classes what they should be, so more people can enjoy them.

At 4ME, we deliver classes that are not only effective but also highly achievable for busy, everyday people who want an efficient and enjoyable way to exercise.W.

Watch this for a quick description of what I really love about Pilates.
